The Britain Kürecikliler Solidarity and Culture Association Opened with High ParticipationThe Kürecikliler Solidarity and Culture Association, operating in Britain, held the long-awaited opening of its association building on May 24, 2025, with a large public turnout and great enthusiasm. The Kürecikliler, who gathered in the Enfield area of North London, officially obtained their association with this significant step, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and a common struggle awareness.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of village and regional associations operating across Britain, as well as many institutional representatives and political actors. Among the participants were: Co-Chairs of Alxas Kom Ayfer Köker Duman and İsmail Karagöz, Chair of Dersim Association Hasan Dolu, Chair of Kırkısraklılar Association Ali Demir, Spokesperson of the Socialist Women’s Union Bedriye Avcıl, President of İAKM and Cemevi İbrahim Has, Co-President of the British Alevi Federation (BAF) Dilek İncedal, Labour Party council members from Enfield and Haringey Eylem Yörük and Erdal Doğan, Enfield Mayor Ergin Erbil, and former Enfield Mayor Sabri Özaydın.

Timur Şaşmaz, the co-chair of the Kürecikliler Solidarity and Culture Association, who gave the opening speech, thanked the participants and all individuals and institutions that provided support, emphasizing that the opening signifies not only a physical space but also the collective effort and social solidarity. In his speech, Şaşmaz highlighted that the entire Kürecik community should take ownership of this institution, especially led by the youth and women, and expressed that the association needs everyone's support to operate with a stronger and more inclusive structure in the future. This meaningful opening has been documented in memory as a strong example of solidarity for both the Kürecikliler and immigrant communities in Britain.
